New Zealand defeated Team India (Indian Cricket Team) by 8 wickets at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. With this defeat, Virat Kohli and Company are almost on the verge of being ruled out of the T20 World Cup. Due to the brilliant and disciplined bowling of the Black Caps, Team India could reach just 110 runs in 20 overs. Trent Boult took 3 wickets, while ‘Birthday Boy’ Ish Sodhi took 2 wickets, due to which the ‘Men in Blue’ went on to shrink.

After India vs New Zealand match, former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman has given two reasons for the defeat of his favourite team India. Speaking on Star Sports, VVS Laxman said that India had to face defeat due to a lack of confidence in Team India and not having a clear strategy.

Expressing disappointment over India’s loss, Laxman said, “I am shocked, the way New Zealand and Pakistan beat Team India, you do not see and expect from India’s batting line-up. I am very disappointed. Me. Looks like shot selection, fluency of footwork, not sure when to attack and how to attack, that’s where they lost.”

In India vs New Zealand match, the Black Caps defeated India by eight wickets in the T20 World Cup on Sunday. After this defeat, now India’s journey is very difficult. It can also be assumed that India is almost on the verge of being out of the tournament.

India’s batsmen flop for the second time

India’s score reached a mere 110-7 after New Zealand elected to bowl after a 10-wicket loss to Pakistan. Daryl Mitchell (49) and captain Kane Williamson (33 not out) helped New Zealand win 111-2 in 14,3 overs in a one-off Group 2 game. Ravindra Jadeja’s unbeaten 26 runs (highest) for India’s batting. For New Zealand, Trent Boult took 3 wickets and conceded 20 runs in 4 overs, while Ish Sodhi took 2 valuable wickets of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, for which he was adjudged man of the match.

Now Team India will face Afghanistan on 3rd November in Abu Dhabi. Virat Kohli & Co. have to rely on the results of others to qualify for the semi-finals. Apart from this, they have to win all their matches by a big margin.
