The world came to a standstill after the COVID-19 outburst. A number of cricketing events including the Indian Premier League (IPL) was postponed for an indefinite time.

Warner has been leading the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise in the IPL and even led them to win the 2016 edition after beating RCB in the final.

The World T20 that was slated to take place in Australia later this year has also come under dark clouds after the coronavirus outbreak.
