Tokyo Olympics: Punjab government will give 1-1 crore to hockey players

The Punjab government has made a big announcement for the Indian hockey team, which won the bronze medal by performing brilliantly in the Tokyo Olympics. 10 out of 18 players in the team are from Punjab and all of them will be given one crore rupees each.

Sports Minister Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi shared this information by tweeting. The players of the team are Captain Manpreet Singh, Vice Captain Harmanpreet Singh, Varun Kumar, Rupinderpal Singh, Hardik Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Gurjant Singh, Mandeep Singh, Shamsher Singh, Simranjit Singh and Krishan Pathak from Punjab.

The Sports Minister watched the semi-final match of the Indian hockey team played live on Thursday. As soon as the team won the match, he celebrated it and congratulated all the players on social media. He says that this day is a very important day in the history of India. India has won the bronze medal after 41 years.
