Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar who is accused of killing wrestler Sagar, is in Tihar Jail. Here their demand is continuously increasing. Earlier wrestler Sushil had asked for a high protein diet. Now he has written a letter to install TV in jail. This has been confirmed by the jail administration on Sunday. Sushil will remain in judicial custody till July 9 as per the order of the Delhi Court.
Tihar Jail official said that wrestler Sushil Kumar has written to the jail authority demanding a TV set. Sushil has argued that by installing a TV, he will be able to watch wrestling and stay updated about the game. However, in this case the jail administration says that the letter will be considered. This TV facility can be given to them only if it is felt right from the point of view of security and need.
Even before this, Sushil had filed a petition in the Delhi Court demanding high protein diet and special food. However, on June 9 itself, the Rohini Court of Delhi dismissed the petition while hearing it. At the same time, if sources are to be believed, Sushil is being given enough food in jail according to his weight and diet. Like some other prisoners, Sushil also needs more bread and vegetables, so that too is given, because some prisoners eat less food. In such a situation, food is not wasted so that the prisoners who eat more are given.
Recently, Sushil was shifted from Mandoli Jail to Tihar for security. Sushil had told the jail administration that his life was under threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi-Kala Jathedi gang. During the shifting, the policemen also took selfies with Sushil. Surrounded by serious allegations, Sushil was seen smiling at this time. After this photo surfaced, questions are being raised whether he is being given special treatment inside the jail.
After investigation, the police had said that on May 4, between 1.15 to 1.30 pm, there was a clash between two groups of wrestlers in the parking area of Chhatrasal Stadium. During this firing also took place. 5 wrestlers were injured in this. These included Sagar (23), Sonu (37), Amit Kumar (27) and 2 other wrestlers.
Sagar succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. He was the son of a head constable in Delhi Police. It is being told that this quarrel took place over a property dispute. Apart from 5 vehicles, a loaded double barrel gun and 3 live cartridges were recovered by the police from the spot.
A video of Sushil Kumar also surfaced, in which he along with friends is seen beating Sagar with a hockey stick. According to the police, this video was shot by Sushil Kumar himself from his friend’s mobile on the day of the incident, so that he would remain in fear in the wrestling circuit. In the pictures, 23-year-old Sagar Dhankhar, an injured wrestler, can be seen lying on the ground lying on his back with blood. Accused Sushil Kumar and three others have surrounded him. Everyone has a hockey stick in their hand.
