New Delhi: Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has decided to retire from international cricket. He announced his big decision by sharing a video on Instagram.

He announced the retirement from all forms of Cricket on his Instagram handle. He said, “Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. From 1929 hrs consider me as Retired.”


In a video of 4 minutes and 7 seconds, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has shared many pictures of his international career. Along with this, he has also put the famous song of Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Kabhi Kabhi’, which says, ‘I am the poet of the moment, the moment is my story, the moment is my figure, the moment is my youth. Singer Mukesh has given voice to this song.

Significantly, Dhoni did not play any international match after the semi-final match of World Cup 2019 against New Zealand. Since then, his retirement was being speculated. Dhoni will now focus his attention on IPL 2020. Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was a 3-time champion in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and the rest of his other teammates arrived in Chennai on Friday for a small training camp before the league’s 13th season.
