Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has been one of the most controversial cricketers and when it comes down to India-Pakistan rivalry, Afridi surely makes the headlines.
Once again, the right-handed all-rounder has made a controversial statement about Indian cricket. Afridi while speaking on Cric Casst show on YouTube, Afridi said, “I have always enjoyed India. Unhe to theek-thaak mara hai humne. Itna mara hai unhe ki match ke baad maafiyan mangi hai unhone. (We’ve thrashed them a lot. I believe we’ve beaten them so much that they used to ask us for forgiveness after the match).
In the initial days, Pakistan used to have upper-hand on India as per the stats but in the later years, India have been the dominant one.
The cricket fans would also remember the ‘Mauka Muaka’ advertisment which is made to certainly talk about the World Cup fixtures between the two nations.
India have never lost to Pakistan in the World Cup fixtures (50-over as well as T20). India and Pakistan first played against each other in a World Cup match in 1992 and then in 1996, 1999, 2003, 2011, 2015 and 2019.
Pakistan also lost to India in the final of the inaugural World T20 back in 2007.
