Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal in athletics, showed his medal first by coming on stage. He said – this is not mine but the medal of the whole country. From the day the medal came, I have neither been able to eat nor sleep. Whenever I see medals, I feel all is well. Since that day, I have been walking around with my medal in my pocket. Many thanks to all for the support. The Olympics was the biggest occasion of my life. I didn’t want to lose it.

Neeraj said about the throw- Before the throw, I had thought that I have to give my 100% and do not panic with anyone. I would tell all the youth that do not be afraid of anyone. It was only after the first throw that I thought it was my personal best throw (88 metres), but it was a little short (87.58 metres). On the question of hair, Neeraj said that since the age of 9-10 years I am having big hair, but in 2-3 tournaments it started bothering me. After that the hair was cut short.

Bajrang Punia said that I played the last bout of the bronze medal match without a kneecap. I thought that even if there is an injury, it does not matter, I will take rest the next day. I knew this last bout could change my life. I listened to my heart. At the same time, Lovlina said that I will try to win gold for the country in Paris Olympics 2024.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said- This evening is the evening of the players who raised India’s name in the Olympics. I congratulate all the medal winners on behalf of the 135 crore people.
