The IPL 2020 begins on Saturday with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on three-time winners Cehnnai Super Kings. Here’s a look at some of the records from the mega league.

RCB have scored the highest total. They have so far scored 263-5 and 248-3 against Pune Warriors and Gujarat Lions respectively in 2013 and 2016. CSK 246-5 against Rajasthan Royals in 2010.

RCB have also scored the lowest total in the tournament. They were bundled out for 49 by KKR. RR and Delhi Daredevils (DD) have been bowled out for 58 and 66 against RCB and Mumbai Indians in 2009 and 2017.

MI have defeated DD by 146 runs which is the highest margin by runs.

A total of 8 matches have been decided by Super Over.

CSK and KKR are yet to win the Super Over.

RCB skipper Virat Kohli has the highest number of runs in one season. Kohli scored 973 in 2016 edition.

RCB captain Virat Kohli is the only player to score four tons in one season.

Chris Gayle smashed 175 runs against Pune Warriors India (PWI) which is the highest individual score.

Kings XI Punjab skipper KL Rahul’s 51 off 14 balls against Delhi Capitals in 2018 is the fastest fifty in IPL.

Lasith Malinga is the highest wicket-taker in the IPL with 170 scalps.

MI’s Alzarri Joseph recorded the best bowling figures in IPL, taking six wickets for 12 runs in 3.4 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Amit Mishra has picked the most number of hattricks with three to his name.

Praveen Kumar has bowled the most number of maidens. (14 in 119 matches)
