IPL 2020: Good news for Rajasthan Royals! Ben Stokes will leave for UAE today

Dubai: Rajasthan Royals star all-rounder Ben Stokes left for UAE on Saturday. Stokes returned to New Zealand in August, skipping the T20 series between England and Pakistan.

After returning to New Zealand, Stokes was spending time with his father, who is undergoing treatment for brain cancer at the hospital. Stokes posted a picture with her father and the rest of the family on her Instagram account before leaving for the UAE, writing in the caption, ‘It’s never easy to say goodbye’.

According to the news published in the English newspaper Daily Mirror, after reaching the UAE, he will remain in the mandatory quarantine for 6 days. Only after that, he will be able to join the Rajasthan team. Which means that Stokes will open his account in IPL 2020 with the first match to be held against Delhi Capitals on 14 October.

Under the leadership of Australian legend Steve Smith, the Rajasthan Royals team has been performing consistently well for the 13th season. The Rajasthan team has won 2 matches out of the three played so far and is placed fifth in the points table with four points.
