Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh of the Indian team has apologized for the tribute post made on Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Harbhajan had posted a story on the 37th anniversary of Operation Blue Star, in which he tried to describe Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, who was killed in the Golden Temple, as a martyr. However, Bhajji did not explicitly name Bhindranwale. But Bhindranwale’s picture was featured prominently on this post and people trolled him fiercely for the same post.
Harbhajan Singh tweeted on his official Twitter account and wrote, “I want to clarify and apologize for my Instagram post yesterday. It was a WhatsApp forward, which I posted in a hurry, even did not know what was written in it and what it meant or what it meant.

He further wrote, “It was my fault, which I accept. The picture in this post, I do not support all those people in any way. I am a Sikh, who will fight for the country and not against the country. I am a Sikh, who will fight for the country and not against the country. I unconditionally apologize for hurting the sentiments of the countrymen.”
The 40-year-old Indian spinner further wrote, “I do not and will never support any such group against my countrymen. I have shed blood and sweat for this country for 20 years. I will never support those things which are anti-India. Jai Hind”
