Chennai: Oxygen shortage persists amid Corona’s deepening crisis and demand for oxygen has risen sharply. Meanwhile, the IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has come forward to help the people of Tamil Nadu in the fight against the coronavirus and has arranged 450 oxygen concentrators for the people here.
Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited (CSKL) Director R.K. Srinivasan handed over oxygen concentrators to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin for distribution. Bhoomika Trust, an NGO associated with the Corona relief operations, has helped CSKCL in arranging the supply of oxygen concentrators.
The first consignment of oxygen concentrators has arrived and the rest of the concentrators are expected to arrive next week. CSK will deliver these oxygen concentrators in government hospitals and Covid care centres operated by Greater Chennai Cooperation. CSK’s team is spreading awareness about Corona through the ‘Mask Podu’ (wear mask) campaign and social media.
