New Delhi: Urs signifies “wedding” and in Sufism, passing commemorations of spiritualists are commended as wedding ceremonies.
The 718th Urs celebrations of Delhi’s noticeable Sufi spiritualist, Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia took place between November 22 to November 26 at his Dargah Sharif from Urs signifies “wedding” and in Sufism, demise commemorations of spiritualists are commended as wedding functions. For their purposes, demise is an event to cheer, not to grieve. They call it Urs (wedding) and here and there visal (union) since the death of a Sufi holy person is acknowledged as the most enchanted converging with the Divine. Accordingly, the passing commemoration of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia was praised as his “wedding” was celebrated by a huge number of pioneers from across the world.
The first day of the Urs celebration began with the recitation of the Quran while the second day was for Dua inside Astana Sharif and also for Quran recitation.
“The enthusiasts from every one of the religions are coming for getting the gifts of the incredible holy person and nobody is going with basically nothing from here,” SYED ANIS NIZAMI, INCHARGE DARGAH SHARIF.
The Bada Qul Sharif was on the third day along with Quran recitation. The Qul Sharif with Quran recitation was on November 25 while closing ceremony was on November 26.
Syed Anis Nizami also added that the committee of Dargah Sharif is strictly following the guidelines of the Central government regarding Covid-19 and taking proper care that social distancing is followed at Dargah Sharif.
