Jammu: From 16 August today, the court of Mata Vaishno Devi opened in Jammu again for devotees. Apart from this, all religious institutions of Jammu and Kashmir were reopened on Sunday. The Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra resumed today after being closed for nearly 5 months due to Coronavirus.
Let us tell you that in view of Coronavirus, Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage was suspended on March 18. According to Shrine Board Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Kumar, 2,000 pilgrims are allowed to visit daily in the first week of the resumption of the pilgrimage. This includes 1,900 devotees from Jammu and Kashmir and 100 devotees from outside.
Let us tell you that the registration of devotees is not being done at the registration counters for the visit of Maa Vaishno Devi. Devotees are being allowed to do pilgrimage only after online registration.
Before the Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage, devotees must install the Arogya Setu app on their mobile phones. Apart from this, it is also important to wear a face mask. Every devotee is being scanned through thermal image scanners at travel entry points. At the same time, children below 10 years, pregnant women and persons above 60 years of age have been advised to avoid travelling due to corona epidemic.
