New Delhi: The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi 2020 is celebrated with pomp in the country and the world. Devotees of Ganpati Bappa bring him to his home on this day and establish him. After worship for 10 days, Ganesh ji is immersed. According to belief, Bappa goes to his dham after immersion. Today, by meditating on the 8 incarnations of Lord Ganesha on this auspicious occasion, you too can fulfill your wishes.

Just as the eight incarnations of Ganapati – Vakratund, Ekadanta, Mahodar, Gajanan, Lombodar, Vikat, Vighnaraja and Dhumavarna are considered, similarly, Ganapati has eight self-proclaimed awakened and perfected regions in Maharashtra. These eight temples are known as Ashtavinayak, including Shri Ballaleshwar Ashtvinayak Temple, Shri Varadvinayak Temple of Shri Ganesh, Shree Chintamani Vinayaka Temple Theur, Shri Mayureshwar Vinayak, 5. Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ganapati Mandir, Shree Mahaganapati Mandir, The Vigneshwara Temple or Vighnahar Ganapati Temple of Ozar and Girijatmaj. People’s wishes are fulfilled only by the sight of these eight idols of Ganapati. 1. Shri Ballaleshwar Ashtvinayak Temple

This holy shrine of Ganapati situated on Pali village on Mumbai-Goa road of Maharashtra. This temple is named after Ballal, an exclusive devotee of Ganapati. The sanctity of this temple can be understood in such a way that justice was done in the Peshwa period by giving it a taste. Here the left-headed Ganapati is seated.

2. Shri Varadvinayak Temple of Shri Ganesh

Shri Varadvinayak Temple of Shri Ganesh, the President of the Ganas, is located in Mahar, Maharashtra. It is believed that Sage Grutsamad installed Srivarad Vinayak in this temple. This temple of Ganapati, which is a boon of happiness and prosperity, is very famous.

3. Shree Chintamani Vinayaka Temple Theur

The temple of Chintamani Ganapati located in Theur village of Maharashtra is quite famous. It is believed that the mere sight of Chintamani Ganapathi of the left trunk removes all the worries of a person.

4. Shri Mayureshwar Vinayak

The temple of Shri Mayureshwar Vinayak is located in Morgaon, Maharashtra. There is a statue of Ganapati in a sitting posture on this holy abode situated about 80 km from Pune. Nandi is installed in front of the statue of Bai Sud Ganpati. It is believed that Ganapati rode on a peacock at this place and killed a demon named Sindhurasura.

5. Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ganapati Mandir

There is a temple of Sri Siddhivinayak at Siddhatek, about 200 km from Pune city of Maharashtra. The temple has a Ganapatiki statue of about three feet high and two and a half feet wide right sod. It is believed that at this place Lord Vishnu had achieved Siddhivinayak by practising God.

6. Shree Mahaganapati Mandir

The temple of Mahaganapati, one of the Ashtavinayak, is located in Rajnagaon, Maharashtra. Mahaganapati means powerful Ganapati. It is believed that Lord Shiva conquered the demon of Tripurasura Renam by practising this form of Ganapati. The statue of Mahaganapathi is of the left trunk.

7. The Vigneshwara Temple or Vighnahar Ganapati Temple of Ozar

This magnificent temple of Vighnahar Ganapati is located in Ojhar, Maharashtra. The idol of Lord Vighneshwar is east-oriented. All obstacles to life are overcome by worshipping and seeing Lord Vighneshwar.

8. The temple of Lord Girijatmaj

The temple of Lord Girijatmaj, one of Ashtavinayak, is located in Lenyadri village in Maharashtra. Ganapati is called Girijatmaj because of being the son of Girija i.e. Mother Parvati. It is believed that Goddess Parvati installed Ganpati here with her own hands. This temple of Ganapati is built by cutting a large rock.
