Palaniswami resigns from the post
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami resigned from his post on Monday after his party AIADMK failed to secure a majority in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. He has sent his resignation through officials to Governor Banwarilal Purohit from his hometown Salem. The DMK has returned to power after a gap of 10 years, performing brilliantly in the elections held in 234 seats of the sixteenth assembly and DMK chief MK Stalin is set to crown the chief minister for the first time.
