Lucknow: In the last few months, there have been many cases of Love Jihad from different districts of Uttar Pradesh, in view of which the Yogi government is going to take some big steps soon. It is being told that the state government is going to bring ordinance soon in Love Jihad under a concrete strategy for conversion.

Anti-conversion law
If sources are to be believed, the Yogi government has issued an order to the authorities in this regard. It is worth noting that at present, eight states have anti-conversion laws – Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand. Odisha was the first state to implement this law in 1967, followed by Madhya Pradesh in 1968. Now ‘UP can soon become the 9th state’.

The latest trigger behind the move is a series of ‘Love-Jihad’ cases. 11 such cases are being investigated in Kanpur district alone. Recently, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat also raised the issue of religious conversion during his stay in Kanpur and Lucknow.
