New Delhi: Mamata Banerjee was sworn in as Chief Minister for the third time after registering a hat-trick in the West Bengal assembly elections. Governor Jagdeep Dhankad administered the oath of office to him on Wednesday.
With this, the rule of Mamta Banerjee, the head of TMC, has once again been established in West Bengal. However, the ministers will be administered the oath on Thursday 6 May. The governor said, “I congratulate Mamata Ji for her third term. Hope that the rule will run as per the constitution and the rule of law. After Mamata was sworn in, PM Modi also congratulated her.”
PM Modi gave his best wishes by saying Mamta didi
PM Modi, who was fiercely opposed to each other in the Bengal elections, also wished Mamata Banerjee after taking the oath of the post of CM. In his greetings, PM Modi once addressed him by saying ‘Mamata didi’. It was believed that during the election campaign, the BJP was overshadowed by PM Modi’s saying ‘Didi O Didi’. His statement was constantly opposed.
Governor also congratulated
The Governor of West Bengal said that I congratulate Mamata Ji for her third term. It is expected that the rule will be following the constitution and the rule of law. Our priority is to end this insensitive violence, which has affected society at large. The Chief Minister is expected to take immediate steps to restore the rule of law.
