New Delhi: The new Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel is going to expand his cabinet on Thursday and all the new faces will be included in this cabinet expansion. The swearing-in ceremony of all the ministers joining the cabinet is to be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday. Earlier this swearing-in was postponed till Wednesday evening. According to the information received so far, there is little chance of any minister in the Rupani cabinet getting a place in this expansion. There are possibilities that young faces may be given more importance in the new cabinet.

On Monday, Bhupendra Patel was sworn in as the Chief Minister and no minister was administered oath on that day, on Monday it was expected that the Chief Minister may remove 50 ministers of the previous Rupani government, but today the information was received. According to him, all the old ministers are being removed.

State assembly elections to be held in 2022

Assembly elections are to be held in Gujarat in December 2022 and just before the assembly elections (BJP) has played a big bet by changing the Chief Minister, now the Chief Minister is also going to remove all the old ministers from his cabinet which can be a big bet. In the 2017 Gujarat assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 99 out of 182 assembly seats in the state and the Congress won 77 seats.
