Patna: Former Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey has joined the JDU. He joined the JDU at the residence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna. Gupteshwar Pandey said on this occasion that the CM himself called me and asked me to join the party. Whatever the party asks me to do, I will do it. I do not understand politics. He said that I am an ordinary person, who has spent his time working for the lower sections of society.
Earlier, Gupteshwar Pandey met JDU National President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday after taking voluntary retirement (VRS) from the post of Director General of Police (DGP). During this time some other preferred leaders of the party were also present there. Please tell that Gupteshwar Pandey took VRS on 22 September. Gupteshwar Pandey had made a big claim that he could win independent elections from anywhere in Bihar on his own. Not only this, Gupteshwar Pandey said that he has got offers from 14 places to contest the assembly elections.
