Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor passed away on Thursday in Mumbai. he was 67. The Bollywood actor was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday morning after which his health deteriorated. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted a and wrote, “T 3517 – He’s GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !”.
He had been diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and had gone to the US for treatment then and returned back in September last year.
An official statement was also released stating that the actor had passed away on Thursday at 8:45 in the morning.

Rishi made his Bollywood debut as an adult in 1973 with the film “Bobby” and was paired with Dimple Kapadia but his first on-screen appearance came as a child artist in the film “Mera Naam Joker” for which he also received a National Award. His last Bollywood flick was “102 not out” with Amitabh Bacchan.
The actor is survived by wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
