Unlock 4.0: New calendar of UG, PG released, parents, get big relief on fees


New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Education on Tuesday approved the revised UGC (UGC) guidelines for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students for the academic session 2020-21 (Academic) Calendar 2020-21) has been released. In this regard, Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has given information on Twitter.

Classes begin from November, Admission till 30 October
According to the academic calendar approved by the ministry, classes for first-year students will start from November and the admission process will continue till October 30. All higher education institutions have been advised to teach six days a week to compensate for the loss. The Ministry has also advised institutions to reduce holidays and holidays.

Explain that the UGC first released an alternative academic calendar for higher education institutions on 29 April, stipulating that the universities would conduct the final year or terminal semester exam from July 1 to July 15 and will declare the results at the end of the month.

Admission Cancel to a full refund
Also, on Tuesday (22 September) the Ministry of Education had also announced that the full refund will be given on cancellation of admission. According to the Ministry of Education ‘due to the financial hardship faced by the parents due to the lockdown, a full refund will be made up to November 30, 2020’.
