Jaipur: There is a tussle between two veterans within the Congress Party over the Gehlot government in Rajasthan. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has demonstrated his power by parading more than 100 MLAs. However, if we look at the mathematics of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, it will be clear that even though Gehlot has the required number of MLAs, he cannot ignore Sachin Pilot as the support of 101 MLAs is needed to run the government in the 200-member assembly.

If Sachin Pilot does not come with Ashok Gehlot, the Rajasthan government will always be a threat. At the same time, sources say that Sachin Pilot is demanding that his supporters make four MLAs as ministers. Also, there is a demand for Sachin Pilot that these ministers be given finance and home ministry. Apart from this, he also wants to keep the post of Pradesh Congress President.

Sachin Pilot is claiming that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has only 84 MLAs while the remaining MLAs are supporting him. He remains in a hotel in Manesar along with some of his supporting MLAs. The manner in which Sachin Pilot is expressing his displeasure would have raised the question of whether he had rebelled only to make his colleagues a minister.

However, there is also a second story. Sachin Pilot has played a big role in helping Congress win the assembly elections in Rajasthan. But when it was the turn of the Chief Minister to wear the crown, Ashok Gehlot got the upper hand. This angered Sachin Pilot. Although the pilot was made deputy CM, then the matter was resolved.

Despite this, there have been frequent headlines of differences between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot. It is said that earlier Sachin Pilot was told that by 2019, Congress needs the political experience of Ashok Gahtol in Rajasthan. Also that he will be given responsibility as the Chief Minister. But if such a possibility was not seen, then their rebellious notes started appearing.

In the meantime, Sachin Pilot was badly angered by the notice of the Special Operations Group in the alleged attempt to topple the government in Rajasthan and the situation became such that Ashok Gehlot had to parade the pro-MLAs on Monday. Whatever the case of the inner cell, now the real reason for the rebellion will be known only when Sachin Pilot himself comes out and clarifies the situation, otherwise all the speculations about his displeasure will continue.
