New Delhi: On the demise of Bollywood greats Irrfan Khan and Sridevi, they were mocked in the Pakistani TV show. Pakistani TV show anchor Aamir Liaquat said insensitive things about both actors during the show. Aamir Liaquat said, “You worked in ‘Mom’ and Sridevi died, you worked with Irrfan Khan as well and he passed away. You were offered roles in ‘Mardaani 2′ and ‘Jism 2′ but you declined, so the actors of that movie owe their life to you,” he added. Adnan looked uncomfortable with the remarks and even told Liaquat Husain that it was not something to joke about. Adnan worked with Irrfan in 2007’s ‘A Mighty Heart”, which also featured Angelina Jolie.
Adnan tweeted, ‘Anchor Aamir Liyakat Sahab had made a sensitive joke about this (the deaths of Irrfan Khan and Sridevi). Both of them (Irrfan Khan and Sridevi) was very close to me even as a human being, so the joke of the anchor was wrong in many ways. Making such a mocking joke about these two celebrities who have passed away is an act of hate. His (anchor’s) doing this not only shows his wrong image but also gives light to the bad image of me and our country.
With this incident, the anchor of the show’s anchor Aamir Liaquat has also increased. There is talk of dumping them on social media. One user wrote, ‘As usual the worm will creep into the industry again.’
Another user wrote, ‘Adnan Sir said a lot and what Aamir Liaquat said is very shocking and insensitive. We have lost two great artists and young children have lost their parents. Have some respect for those who were ill and their loved ones.
The reactions of people are still going on on social media. People are repeatedly demanding to ban Aamir Liaqat. When people started trolling the anchor, he too released a video and apologized most.
