Pakistan violates ceasfire Naugam sector

Srinagar: Pakistani troops opened heavy fire in violation of the ceasefire agreement on Thursday along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Naugam sector, in which two soldiers were killed and four others were injured.

Srinagar-based Defense Spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia said, “Pakistan fired mortar and other weapons on Thursday morning in front of the Line of Control in the Naugam sector of Kupwara, breaching the ceasefire without any provocation.

He said that two soldiers were killed in firing from across the border and four others were injured. He said, “The injured have been evacuated from there and Pakistan is being reprimanded.”
