J&K: Encounter between security forces and terrorists in Handwara, 5 soldiers martyred, 2 terrorists killed

New Delhi: 5 soldiers, including a colonel, a major, a police officer, have been killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Handwara, Jammu and Kashmir. For the last three days, two terrorists have also died in the ongoing operation of the security forces. One of the martyrs is also an officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. These soldiers were martyred in an attempt to save common citizens from terrorists hiding in a house. It is being said that both the terrorists killed were foreigners. They recently crossed the border and came to India from Pakistan. According to reports, these foreign terrorists were sitting hidden in a house and staying from there were firing on the security forces. When the security forces came to know their exact location, they blew up the entire hideout.

When the army exploded the terrorists’ hideout, it caught fire. After which the terrorist was killed in the same. Foreign terrorists were reported to be hiding in this area two days ago. After which the security forces surrounded the entire area. Seeing the soldiers, foreign terrorists hid in a house and were firing from there. But the army blew him with his whereabouts. There is still a possibility of the hideout of some terrorists in this area. Therefore, the search operation is being conducted in every house there.

Recently, after the summer, the snow has melted at the border. After which there is news of infiltration of some terrorists from Pakistan. It is believed that the slain foreign terrorists had come by infiltration recently. Earlier, two terrorists were also killed in Pulwama. The terrorists were sitting in hiding in Dangarpora area there. During the search operation, he opened fire on the security forces and started trying to escape. But these terrorists were killed in retaliation.
