New Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh left for Russia today (Wednesday) to attend an important meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Sources say that during this time Rajnath Singh has no program to meet his Chinese counterpart. Rajnath Singh refused to meet with the Chinese defence minister.
Amid tensions with China, the defence minister left for Moscow to attend the SCO’s defence ministers’ conference. Meanwhile, a meeting of officials of India and China is taking place in view of the latest controversy. The brigade commander of the army will represent India in this meeting. Brigade Commander level talks were held on Tuesday as well. It is known that the Chinese Army had tried to change the status quo in the south bank area of Pangong Lake on the night of 29-30 August, but the Indian Army gave a befitting reply to this aggressive action.
Army spokesman Colonel Aman Anand said that the Chinese Army had tried to change the status quo on the night of 29-30 August. Despite the agreement reached by both sides on the East Ladakh issue, China carried out this invasion action. However, the Indian Army foiled their efforts.
