New Delhi: After the central government banned 59 apps including TikTok and Helo, American company Google and Apple have also surfaced. These two companies have removed TikTok and Helo from their App Store. This step was taken at around 9 am today following the order of the Union Home Ministry last night. Now no Indian user will be able to download these apps.
According to the information received, at present Google has banned a few Chinese apps from its Play Store and Apple. However, out of all the Chinese apps banned by the central government, some are still seen in the Play Store. Both Philhar American companies have not released any official statement on this action.
Let us tell that amid the border dispute with China in eastern Ladakh, the Indian government has banned 59 apps related to China including TikTok and UC Browser. The government has termed these apps as dangerous for security. A statement issued by the government said that according to the information available, these apps are engaged in activities which are dangerous to India’s sovereignty, integrity and security.
