New Delhi: Gangster Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the Kanpur encounter was arrested from Ujjain. He came to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh to visit Mahakal. He was first identified by the guard of the Mahakal temple and he informed the police about it. Explain that the police of five states were looking for him. Uttar Pradesh Police has left for Ujjain to take Vikas Dubey in transit remand.

Confirming the arrest of notorious gangster Vikas Dubey, Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh Narottam Mishra said, “Vikas Dubey is still in the custody of Madhya Pradesh Police. It is not right to say anything about how the arrest took place. It is not right to say about the arrest from inside or outside the temple. Development was crossing the limits of cruelty from the very beginning. Since the incident, we kept the entire MP police on alert.”

After the arrest of Vikas Dubey, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also congratulated the Ujjain police. He also tweeted, ‘Those who feel that their sins will be dusted by going to the shelter of Mahakal, they have not known Mahakal. Our government is not going to spare any criminal.’

Earlier, two companions of Vikas Dubey got killed in the encounter today. Prabhat Mishra was trying to escape from police custody, after which he was piled into the encounter. Prabhat Mishra was arrested on Wednesday from Faridabad. Apart from this, another most wanted criminal Baban Shukla of Vikas Dubey gang also got killed in Etawah.

The Kanpur Police team was coming to Kanpur on Thursday morning on the transit remand of Vikas Dubey’s partner Prabhat Mishra who was arrested in Faridabad. The team of STF was escorting. At the same time, when the vehicle was punctured in Panki police station area, the accused Prabhat snatched the police pistol and tried to escape. He also opened indiscriminate fire on the police, in which two STF guards were seriously injured.

In police fire for self-defence, the crook Prabhat was injured, who was taken to the hospital for treatment, where he died. It is noteworthy that Prabhat was arrested by Faridabad Police on Wednesday along with 2 others and 4 pistols were recovered from it, in which a 9mm pistol was looted by the police.

On the other hand, the letter written to the SSP against SO Thane Chaubepur Vinay Tiwari by CO Bilhaur Devendra Mishra, who was martyred in Kanpur encounter in Uttar Pradesh, has been found correct in the investigation. According to sources, IG Laxmi Singh of Lucknow range sent to Kanpur for investigation returned to Lucknow on Wednesday and submitted the investigation report to DGP Hitesh Chandra Awasthi.

Laxmi Singh has written in his report that after investigating and questioning the staff of the office of the CO, it came to know that the letter written by the CO to the SSP is genuine.
