Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s condition worsens, chest pain complains; Admitted to AIIMS

New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi on Sunday night after complaining of chest pain. Manmohan Singh was admitted to AIIMS at 9.45 pm. Dr Singh has trouble breathing. He is being treated under the supervision of Dr Nitish Nayak, a cardiology professor at AIIMS. Dr Nayak said, “He is being monitored.”

As soon as the news of Dr Singh being admitted to AIIMS came, the phase of his wishes of getting well soon started on social media. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wrote, “I wish God the speedy recovery of Dr Manmohan Singh.” Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda tweeted, “It was reported that former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was unwell. I pray to God for his speedy recovery and longevity.”

Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav tweeted, “Saw the news of Dr Manmohan Singh being admitted to AIIMS on TV. I wish God a speedy recovery and longevity.”

In 2009, Dr Singh underwent coronary bypass surgery at AIIMS. Singh is a senior leader of the opposition Congress and is currently a Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan. He has been the Prime Minister of the country from 2004 to 2014.
