Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has been discharged from the hospital. He underwent a medical examination on Tuesday and after that, the doctors decided to discharge him from the hospital.
Let us tell you that 87-year-old Singh was admitted to AIIMS on Sunday night after a reaction and fever due to the new drug. Earlier, sources associated with the former prime minister had said that his health improved on Monday and he did not get a fever during the day time.
He had said that there were several investigations of Singh. A source said that the former PM was sampled to check for coronavirus infection and his report did not confirm the infection.
Singh was previously under the supervision of physicians in the AIIMS Cardio-Thoracic (Heart and Chest) Unit Intensive Medical Classroom (ICU). Later he was sent to the private ward of the cardio-neuro tower of AIIMS.
Earlier, AIIMS sources had reported that he was admitted for having a reaction after taking a new drug so that he could be under the supervision of doctors and be examined.
Manmohan Singh is a senior Congress leader and is currently a Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan. He has been the Prime Minister of the country from 2004 to 2014. In 2009, he underwent coronary bypass surgery at AIIMS.
On receiving the news of Manmohan Singh’s hospitalization, many leaders expressed concern about his health and wished to recover soon.
