New Delhi: In the national capital Delhi, in the month of February this year, Delhi Police has filed a supplementary charge sheet in the case of Delhi Riots. In this charge sheet, the names of many big people, including Leader of Opposition Sitaram Yechury, have been recorded as conspirators.

The Delhi Police in its charge sheet also co-named Swaraj Abhiyan leader Yogendra Yadav, economist Jayati Ghosh, Delhi University professor and social worker Apoorvanand and documentary filmmaker Rahul Roy. Names have been registered as conspirators. They are all accused that they asked the protesters opposing the CAA to ‘go to any length’

Calling the CAA-NRC an anti-community, they created resentment in the community and organized demonstrations to tarnish the image of the Indian government. While issuing an official statement on this charge sheet, Delhi Police said that these names have been included on the basis of the statement of an accused in relation to organizing and addressing the Anti-CAA Protest. This disclosure statement is recorded with the truth. A person is not convicted on the basis of disclosure statement only.
