New Delhi: On the occasion of Chhath, politics has heated up after pictures of toxic chemicals and foam surfaced on the waves of Yamuna River Pollution in Delhi. While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has blamed the Aam Aadmi Party for these conditions of Yamuna, the AAP blamed it on the BJP itself.
Delhi Jal Board vice-chairman and AAP leader Raghav Chadha blamed the BJP government of UP and Haryana for the rising poison in the Yamuna. On the other hand, former Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari told the lax attitude of the Kejriwal government as the reason for pollution in the Yamuna.
AAP’s focus only on publicity: MP Manoj Tiwari
Former Delhi State President Manoj Tiwari said that AAP focuses only on publicity; they are not worried about the Yamuna being dirty. On the condition of the Yamuna river, Manoj Tiwari wrote in a tweet that Kejriwal has made Yamuna Ji dirty and is himself roaming in other states.
With air pollution, there is a dip of faith in toxic foam. He wrote that in Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhath Puja is celebrated everywhere on the river ghat. But this is not the case in Delhi because every year, the AAP government tells lies. His focus is only on promotion.
Let us tell you that during Chhath Puja, the devotees who came to bathe in the Yamuna river were forced to take a dip in the poisonous foamy water.
This is how foam comes in the Yamuna
The dangerous froth floating on the Yamuna River is caused by increased ammonia levels and high phosphate content. This foam comes from industrial wastes that are discharged into the Yamuna river.
