New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials are involved in the investigation into the mysterious death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Meanwhile, CBI Director RK Shukla revealed that all is not well with the headquarters of India’s premier investigative agency. A major team of CBI is engaged in the investigation of Sushant case round the clock and many of its senior officers are questioning all the people related to the case. Meanwhile, officers working in CBI Headquarters and other offices of the agency have been pulled for not being punctual. Many of these officers were found missing from their offices, especially in the early morning hours.

What is written in the order

The Supreme Investigation Agency took up the Sushant case on August 19 on the direction of the Supreme Court. Interestingly, the same day CBI Chief Shukla issued this order. As a strict police officer and a disciplinarian, Shukla has issued a strict order for the head of the zone and other branches. It is written in this order, ‘It has been seen that senior officers including the head of the zone and law officer are coming to the office at irregular hours. This is not expected from officers of the level of Joint Director and above.’

There is resentment for being late

The order states that the conduct of senior officers is being observed by their subordinates and often it encourages indiscipline in the organization. According to agency sources, some officials arrive late at the office and go on leave for several days. Such an approach can affect the quality of work.

Know what is the reason

The source said, ‘Actually due to the Covid-19 epidemic some officials are coming at irregular times. But after the director’s order, now the entire staff has started arriving on time.’ The CBI chief said in his order, ‘It should not be expected that I should remind you to come to the office on time. Please make sure I do not remind you again.’

When asked about this order by the CBI chief, the spokesperson of the agency did not respond.
