Bihar: Bihar assembly election has been announced amid Corona epidemic. Voting will take place in 3 phases for a total of 243 assembly seats. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora announced the dates of the much-awaited Bihar assembly elections at a press conference here today.
He said that these elections are being conducted in very extraordinary circumstances and keeping in view these circumstances, elaborate arrangements have been made in relation to the security system as well as health-related protocols.
With the announcement of elections, the Model Election Code of Conduct has come into force in the state.
Corona patients will vote under the supervision of health officials
Voters in the quarantine due to Corona infection can either vote by postal ballot or they will vote under the supervision of health officials at their polling stations on the last day of the election. Please tell that due to corona victims, 1-hour extra time has been extended. Corona victims will be able to cast their votes at the last minute of voting, for which separate arrangements will also be made.
Polling will be held in 3 phases
First phase: 28 October 2020 – 71 seats
Second Phase: 03 November 2020 – 94 Seat
Third phase: 7 November 2020 – 78 seat
Counting (result) on 10 November 2020
Total – 243 seats
