Kota: On Wednesday, a freight train near Dara on the Delhi-Mumbai rail route went down in flames. Due to this, the traffic on the up line was disrupted. On receiving the information, the accident relief train from Kota was dispatched for the spot. Many trains had to be stopped on the way as the railroad was disrupted. The railway administration has ordered an inquiry into the matter. The cargo coaches were empty and some coaches were loaded.
According to the developments, the freight train was being removed from the yard at Dara station of Kota Mandal at around 9.30 am, when suddenly a box of a goods train derailed at the point. Due to this, traffic was stopped on the Yard and upline trek from Delhi to Mumbai. This has also caused problems for the passengers. Many trains were stopped at stations. By half-past two in the afternoon, the repair work of the trek was completed. After this, the trains started operating on both lines. The accident is being investigated by the railway administration.
