New Delhi: Security personnel have got great success in Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir. The jawans have killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.
The security forces had received intelligence that terrorists were hiding in the Vailo area of Anantnag district. As soon as the information was received, the army, CRPF and police cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
How did the encounter happen?
An encounter between militants and security forces took place on Tuesday morning in the Vailo area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s district Anantnag.
Actually, before this, security forces personnel got information that Lashkar’s terrorists are hiding in the Anantnag area and can carry out any big conspiracy. As soon as the information was received, the soldiers started a siege with the CRPF and the police.
Lashkar’s terrorists were hiding in an apple orchard, where the soldiers surrounded them all. Finding themselves surrounded, these terrorists started firing rapidly. Army soldiers killed all three terrorists in this bullet bar.
All three terrorists identified
Three terrorists killed in the Antanag encounter were identified as Ilyas Ahmad Dar son Bashir Ahmad Dar resident Danavathpora, Kokernag, Ubaid Shafi son Mohammad Shafi Dar resident Batmaloo, Srinagar while the third was identified as Aqeeb Ahmad Lone son Mohammad Amin Lone resident of Khandaypora, Kulgam.
At the moment it has not been officially confirmed.
Weapons and ammunition also recovered
Along with the encounter, army personnel have also recovered a large number of arms and ammunition during the search operation. The operation is terminated on completion.
Was given a chance to surrender
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar has confirmed the killing of the three terrorists. He said that during the encounter, the terrorists were allowed to surrender several times, although they did not agree. Started firing right there. All three terrorists have been killed during the encounter.
