“Some more teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are being sent by air from Delhi to Uttarakhand,” the home minister said. We are constantly monitoring the situation there.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday spoke to Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on the sudden flood situation in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district due to the breaking of the iceberg and said that some teams of National Disaster Response Force are being sent by air from Delhi to Uttarakhand.

Shah tweeted, “I have spoken to Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Director General of ITBP and Director General of NDRF regarding the information of natural disaster in Uttarakhand.”

He said that all concerned officers are working on a war footing to secure people. NDRF teams have left for rescue operations. Every possible help will be provided to Devbhoomi. “Some more teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are being sent by air from Delhi to Uttarakhand,” the home minister said. We are constantly monitoring the situation there.”

Significantly, the snowfall in the Rishiganga Valley in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand on Sunday caused a sudden spiral of floods in the Alaknanda and its tributaries.
