New Delhi: NCP President Sharad Pawar has said that the allegations made on Home Minister Anil Deshmukh are serious but there is no evidence for this. The letter that is being talked about, does not even have any signature on it. It is also not clear that the money recovered from the ransom was given to the Home Minister or his staff. He said that Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh decided to reinstate Sachin Vaje on the job. There was no role of the Chief Minister in this.

‘Julio Rubio investigate the case’

While giving a press conference in Delhi, Sharad Pawar said that the Maharashtra Chief Minister has the full authority to decide to investigate the allegations levelled against Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. He said, ‘I discussed this matter with CM Uddhav Thackeray. I have felt that this matter should be investigated in depth through an impartial person. I have named the name of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Julio Rubio for this.’

‘Why accusations after getting out of the chair’

Sharad Pawar said that the Chief Minister will decide on the resignation of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. This incident will not have any effect on the government. Pawar questioned that when Param Bir Singh was removed from the post of Commissioner of Mumbai Police, then why did he make all these allegations. He said that Parambir decided to bring Sachin Vaje back to the Mumbai Police after 16 years. Sharad Pawar said, ‘I heard that Parambir had gone to Delhi.’
