Therefore, the government wants to involve private companies in it.

Therefore, the railway ministry is now considering a new policy of running private goods trains. These trains will run on 2800 km Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC). According to the exclusive news received by Zee News, special steps can be taken to attract private players or private companies in the new policy being prepared for private freight trains.
The new policy plans to attract big giants of steel, iron ore, textile and auto sectors. Railway Ministry wants big companies like Tata Group, Adani Group, Mahindra Group and Maruti to participate in this scheme.

Therefore, the government is working fast on the Dedicated Freight Corridor. By March 2021, the 11 km DFC track will be ready, on which trains will start running. The railways aim to have the entire 2800 km DFC track prepared and operationalized by March 2022.

According to sources, if a long-term agreement is reached, e-commerce companies like Amazon or Flipkart can also come forward to run private freight trains. There is still a provision for running private freight train or private container train in Indian Railways, but till now only big players of coal or steel are involved in it, who book very few numbers of the whole train or all container. More and more private companies should come in this, there is a lot of scope for this.
