Medical and technical colleges in the local language will be started in every state: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Assam to launch several infrastructure projects. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of two hospitals here and started the ‘Asom Mala’ program. After this, PM Modi will go to West Bengal. Assembly elections will be held in Assam and West Bengal in April-May this year. This visit of PM Modi is considered very important.

The pace of development and progress will increase

In a program at Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district, PM Modi, while launching the ‘Asom Mala’ program, will promote the road infrastructure of the state. This initiative will contribute to Assam’s economic progress and improve connectivity. He said, in the next 15 years, Assam will have wide and big roads. This project will fulfil your dream. He said that to promote development and progress, a special provision has been made in the budget this time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also laid the foundation stone of medical colleges and hospitals in Bishwanath and Charaidev. He said it will give a boost to the health infrastructure of Assam. In the last few years, the state has made rapid progress in health care. This has benefited not only Assam but the entire North East.

Medical College in local language

Making a big announcement, PM Modi said, ‘My dream is to have at least one medical college in every state to start teaching in the mother tongue. When the new government will be formed in Assam, I promise on behalf of the people of Assam that in Assam we will start a medical college in the local language. PM Modi said doctor engineer will also provide services in different parts of the country after studying in the local language.

AIIMS soon in Guwahati

He said AIIMS work in Guwahati is moving fast. Why the previous governments could not understand that if there will be AIIMS in Guwahati, then how much will the people here benefit. The government is working with full devotion to the development of Assam. About 125 million people are getting the benefit of Ayushman Bharat scheme in Assam.

Assam had to wait long for development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said freedom fighters of Assam had sacrificed for the independence of the country. Each drop of blood and courage of these martyrs strengthens our resolutions. This past of Assam is repeatedly filling my mind with Assamese pride. Northeast and Assam had to wait a long time for the morning of development.
