Amid the ongoing border dispute with China over LAC in East Ladakh, the Indian Army is going to buy 72 thousand assault cig 716 rifles from America. This will be the second batch of Asphalt Sig 716. Earlier 72000 Assault Sig 716 have been given to Indian Army, which has been given to Northern Command. They are being used for counter-insurgency operations.

Defence sources said that under the budget that the army has received for the purchase of its weapons, we are going to order more than 72000 Assault Sig 716, which will increase the strength of our military forces. Let us know that the Indian Army, which has got 72 thousand assault cig 716 rifles earlier, is being used in counter-insurgency operations. This has strengthened the battle of security forces against terror. Earlier, India had signed an agreement to purchase 72000 rifles from the US under the fast track process.

These new rifles will replace the INSAS rifle currently being used in the military. The aircraft was manufactured in India from the Ordnance Factory, a weapon manufacturer for the military. According to the plan, about 1.5 lakh Assault Sig 716s will be purchased from the US, which will be used by the troops deployed on Operation and Line of Control (LOC) against the terrorists.

These rifles will help fight against terrorists, while the rest of the army will use the AK-203 rifle, which is manufactured at the Amethi Ordnance Factory under a joint venture between India and Russia.

The Indian Army had been trying to replace the INSAS assault rifles for many years, but for some reason it was stuck. Recently, due to the shortage of Light Machine Gun (LMG), the Ministry of Defense ordered the Israeli company 16,000 Light Machine Guns (LMG).

Let us tell you that since the month of May, tension has remained between India and China Army in East Ladakh, China is still deploying heavy military force in its area, in response to which India has also increased the number of troops there.
