DCP writes a letter to DMRC
In its letter, the DCP said that given the law and order circumstances and to control the crowd, 12 Metro stations can be asked to close at short notice at any time. Since this notice, the metro staff is on alert and preparations are being made to close the station on short notice. At the same time, the biggest challenge during the alert will be to get people out of the metro premises without panic, for which the officials are planning.

According to the letter, Delhi Police issued these letters about Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhavan, Lok Kalyan Marg, Janpath, Mandi House, RK Ashram, Supreme Court, Khan Market and Shivji Stadium (Airport Express Line). Let us tell you that all these metro stations fall in the New Delhi area. Delhi Police DCP has taken this decision due to the possibility of violence during Chakka Jam.
