New Delhi: Keeping in view the steady decrease in new cases of coronavirus infection (Covid-19) in the capital and the situation getting better in this regard, the authorities may allow the opening of salons and weekly markets from next week i.e. tomorrow. According to the information that came out on Saturday quoting sources, such signs are being received. It is worth noting that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while announcing the start of market, mall and Delhi Metro service operations recently, said that some other activities will be allowed to start in the coming days if the situation of Corona improves.

According to sources, there is a possibility that the Delhi government may give more relaxations like allowing the opening of salons and weekly markets from next week. Apart from this, the opening of gyms, cinemas and restaurants is also being considered. Earlier, the government had allowed construction work and factories to open in a phased manner from May 31, removing the restrictions imposed under the lockdown.

According to the Health Bulletin of the Delhi Government, 213 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the last 24 hours and 25 patients died. At the same time, according to this, the rate of infection has come down to 0.3 per cent. The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has demanded the reopening of salons and gyms from June 14. CTI President Brijesh Goyal said that the CTI has written a letter to the Delhi Government and the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMC) demanding the opening of salons and gyms. He said that the livelihood of about 15 lakh people is attached to this area.
