New Delhi: Delhi Metro is fully ready for the journey of the metro starting on Monday 7 September. After several months in the Corona period, keeping in mind the safety standards, now Delhi people will be able to make their journey easy on fixed routes. Currently, the service is being started in three phases, the work of the first phase has been completed. Metro operations will begin on Line-2 of Delhi Metro (Samaypur Badli to Huda City Center and Rapid Metro, Gurugram).
At the same time, trains and related stations running in the second and third phase are being disinfected. In the second phase, from September 9, line 3/4 (Blue line which will start from Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City / Vaishali and Line 7 i.e. Pink Line to Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar).
The third phase will start on 10 September. In which Metro will run from Line-1 (Red Line which is Rithala to Martyr site, Line-5 i.e. Kirti Nagar / Inderlok to Brig. Hoshiar Singh Station in Green Line and then Kashmiri Gate to Raja Nahar Singh Station in Violet Line of Line-6).
Delhi’s transport minister took stock of preparations
Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot visited Rajiv Chowk metro station today to take stock of the preparations made by Delhi Metro and Delhi Transport Department for the restoration of metro services in Delhi from 7 September. During the inspection, senior officials of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Delhi Transport Department were also present with them. During this, he said, ‘I am happy that the metro services will resume in Delhi from tomorrow. I visited Rajiv Chowk metro station today and took stock of the preparations. I am satisfied with DMRC’s preparations.’
These changes at the metro station
The CISF staff at the metro station will now conduct a security check without touching you. For this, ‘Auto Thermal Screening cum Hand Sanitization Machine’ has been installed at 45 big stations. At the same time, ‘Auto sanitizer dispensers’ will be installed at other metro stations. There will be a ‘paddle switch’ near the lift at the metro stations. That is, to call the lift, all you have to do is gently press this switch with the foot. The button panel will remain closed for the present time to reduce the risk of corona infection.

If you also want to make your journey as easy as before, then you have to take special care of these eight things along with adopting all the methods of prevention from corona infection.
1- Metro train will run from Monday to September 7 in two shifts from 7 am to 11 am and from 4 pm to 8 pm
2- In the second phase, trains will be available between 7 am and 1 pm and between 4 pm and 10 pm.
3- Token will not be issued in fear of spreading corona infection. Only smartcard holders are allowed to travel in the metro
4- Travel will not be allowed on mobile phones without activating the Aarogya Setu app.
5- Not all the gates of the metro station will open. Entry and exit will be from different gates for social distancing.
6- It is mandatory to wear masks within the metro campus and the train and challan will be violated in this rule.
7- Only up to three passengers will be allowed in the lift at the station.
8- The duration of the stoppage of trains will be longer, that is, your train will stop for 20-25 seconds instead of 10-15 seconds at each station, while the duration of ‘interchange’ facility will be increased from 35-40 seconds to 55-60 seconds.
