New Delhi: The effect of being imprisoned at home for a long time is clearly visible on the people. The Delhi Metro service has just started for one and a half months and the number of passengers has doubled from the beginning. On September 12, 1.5 lakh people travelled by metro. But now this number has doubled. According to a recent report, an average of 12.21 lakh people is travelling by metro every day.

Delhi Metro crowds doubled in one and a half month
People are coming out again as they were locked to their houses due to Corona lockdown. Along with this, there is also a season of festivals and people’s offices have also started. In such a situation, the number of people travelling in the metro is increasing. Along with the increasing number, there is a rush of people in the long lines and train coaches outside the metro station.

People are not much worried about Corona
In such a situation, people are also now very careless about Covid. Given the call of transition among so many passengers, only one gate entry and one gate are being opened at the metro station. Due to which, people have to wait in lines for a long time. However, DMRC is following every guideline issued by the government on its behalf.
