New Delhi: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) will now also serve on the border and coastal areas. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the proposal related to the expansion of NCC, under which the youth of all 173 border and coastal districts will get the opportunity to participate on a large scale. Let us tell you that on August 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Red Fort, while talking about ‘Har Kama Desh Ka Naam’, had mentioned about linking youth power with country service on a large scale.

1 lakh youth power will be associated with country service
1 lakh new cadets will be recruited in NCC from 173 border and coastal areas, out of which one-third number will be girls. Under this project, more than 1 thousand schools and colleges were identified. And after getting government approval, a total of 83 NCC units will be upgraded under this plan.

So much participation in the army
In these 83 units working under the direct supervision of the Army, 53 Army units, 20 Navy units and 10 Air Force units are deployed.

Let us tell you that this project of expansion of NCC will be prepared with the cooperation of the states. The government believes that doing so will inspire the youth of the country to work in the army. At the same time, the implementation of the decision will benefit the youth who grow on the border.
