US forces have withdrawn from Afghanistan. Last night, before 12 o’clock and the date changed to 31 August 2021, the last American planes took off from Kabul Airport, and with this the US war in Afghanistan that started twenty years ago also ended.

Under the agreement with the Taliban, the US was to give up Afghanistan completely by August 31. But America left Afghanistan twenty-four hours ago. As four US military transport planes C-17 took off from Kabul airport, Taliban fighters opened fire in celebration.

People living near Kabul airport thought that there might have been another attack on the airport, but it soon became clear from the message issued by the Taliban that it was a celebratory firing. Taliban supporters wrote on Twitter – ‘And America is gone, the war is over.’

Taliban spokesman in Kabul, Amanullah Wasik, said on Twitter: “People of Kabul, don’t be afraid, these bullets are being fired in the air. Mujahideen are celebrating independence.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said – Today we have canceled our diplomatic presence in Kabul and transferred our operations to Doha, the capital of Qatar. We will use our post in Doha, Qatar to have diplomatic relations with Afghanistan. US military flights have stopped and our troops have left Afghanistan.

The US will continue to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan, he said. This will not be done through the government, but through the United Nations and non-governmental organizations. We hope that the Taliban or any other group will not hinder our efforts.

American planes did not even leave Afghanistan’s airspace that the Taliban declared Afghanistan to be America-free. Meanwhile, NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued an emergency message saying that Kabul airport is no longer under anyone’s control and there is no air traffic control. This means that it is not safe for an aircraft to take off or land from here.

At the same time, the Taliban says that its Special Force Badri 313 has taken over the security of Kabul airport. On the other hand, General McKenzie announced the complete withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan in America. General McKenzie also told that some American citizens trying to leave Afghanistan are still left in Afghanistan.
