New Delhi: Anti-China and Pakistan slogans were raised in Muzaffarabad occupied by Pakistan. Local people say that the dam is being built illegally on the Neelum and Jhelum river and people here will be harmed by it.

A Chinese company signed a US $ 150 million deal with Pakistan on Monday to set up a hydroelectric project in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Prime Minister Imran Khan was also present at the signing of the agreement with the Jezuba of China for the ‘Azad Port Hydroelectric Project’ at a function.

The project is on the Jhelum River in Sudhanoti district of PoK and is expected to be completed in 2026. The project is part of the ambitious Sino-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC).
