New Delhi: India is preparing to encircle China by the sea, entangled between the mountains in eastern Ladakh. Although the Chinese army has retreated to resolve the dispute, India is still wary. In any case, India does not want to reduce its pressure on China. Therefore, India plans to invite Australia to join the Malabar naval exercise.

Till now, only the navies of the US and Japan have been participating in this exercise together with the Indian Navy. Like India, China’s relations with Australia have deteriorated over the past few months. New Delhi is trying to give a strong message to Beijing by including Australia in the Malabar exercise. The most serious border dispute of the last four decades is going on between India and China.

According to senior officials, the navies of India, Japan, America and Australia will conduct simultaneous manoeuvres in the Bay of Bengal later this year. Seeing this joint manoeuvre at sea will make Beijing’s nervous minds hideout.

According to a Bloomberg report, officials have said that talks are going on with Japan and the United States. After the consent of the two countries, a formal invitation will be sent to Australia by next week. Researcher Derek Grossman of the Washington-based RAND Corporation said that potentially India’s entry into Malabar would be particularly important in India. China is constantly troubled by the proximity of these four countries.
