New Delhi: Pakistan is ignoring Kulbhushan for accepting the order of International Court on Jadhav. They claimed that Kulbhushan Jadhav is not ready for the review petition. Pakistan is also not ready to provide them, Indian lawyers. Pakistan has claimed that Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian citizen jailed there, has refused to file a reconsideration petition in view of his conviction. Instead, they requested a mercy petition.

Pakistan’s Additional Attorney General Ahmed Irfan said, “Kulbhushan Jadhav was asked to file a review petition in relation to the sentence.” He refused to do so using his legal rights. ”

On 20 May, Pakistan brought an ordinance against the backdrop of International Court of Justice (ICJ) orders. Under this, he had to appeal in Islamabad High Court within two months. On 17 June, Jadhav was given a chance to file a review petition.

Pakistan also claimed that it had repeatedly asked the High Commission of India for a review petition in this regard in the Islamabad High Court. Along with this, Pakistan also said that it is ready to give Jadhav another counsellor access. The Government of India has not yet commented on this issue.

Earlier in September 2019, Kulbhushan Jadhav was given counsellor access for the first time. India’s Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia met him for about two hours. After that, the Ministry of External Affairs had issued a statement that Jadhav is under immense pressure to accept the false claims of Pakistan.
